Clay Studio Three 40th Anniversary Exhibition Reception on Monday, June 15 at Affinity Gallery
Please join the Saskatchewan Craft Council (SCC) for a public reception on Monday, June 15 and help us celebrate Clay Studio Three’s 40th Anniversary in Craft Year 2015!
Clay Studio Three has been a collective of Saskatchewan ceramic artists since 1975. SCC is pleased to present Clay Studio Three 40th Anniversary Exhibition, an exhibition honouring the variety and history of Clay Studio Three’s makers. This diverse exhibition includes independent and collaborative work, both present and past, sculptural and functional, traditional and contemporary, subtle and bold.
In a curatorial statement, Les Potter and Maia Stark stated:
“Scattered throughout the space are... works from members which play with, explore, or push the sculptural and functional form. Past members are also represented in the exhibition, which portrays the history of the group – some pieces are over 35 years old. This rich history provides the viewer with a visual perspective and context to the Studio’s beginnings.â€
