Believe in Yourself

It can occasionally be heard, but also sometimes be hard to “believe in yourself”, especially if you feel discouraged from within or from the negative attitude of others. If it feels like you have little to offer or have feelings of unworthiness, please know that you are worthy and you are capable, because within each of us all are unique soulful qualities such as the beauty inside our hearts, peace, the capacity to spread love and joy during our earthly sojourn, in ways big or minuscule. Every moment is an opportunity to access this inner power. If you are having trouble seeing all the amazingness about you, there are simple things that you can do. First, try to quiet your mind with techniques you feel most comfortable. (We offer free meditation workshops, if you are ever interested.) By quieting the busy mind and opening the heart, we get renewed inspiration and feel moved to go in a new directions; or someone/something will cross our path that will certainly help us to get out of any slump! There is great power in the hope, peace, and joy that comes from meditation, and tremendous satisfaction emerges by discovering the beauty and strength that lie within. Definitely you will see that you have many more capacities and talents than you could otherwise never haved imagined. You are much stronger both inwardly and outwardly than you think.

Also, take stock of what you have accomplished or how you have selflessly given joy, strength, encouragement and inspiration to others. Stay positive while setting new goals, exercise, create artistically, make new friends and look for opportunities to use your innate skills to fulfil your highest potential and purpose here during the precious fleeting time we are given here on earth. Don''t forget to take good care of yourself! Keep moving, keep breathing, keep praying and “NEVER GIVE UP!” … which is the theme for our August newsletter. We are ready to serve you in this most worthwhile and inspiring adventure - Believe in yourself! To give you the feeling, that you are among friends who are supporting you, come join us for a delicious and nourishing meal in the peaceful and uplifting atmosphere of Consciousness-Blossoms.

Flaxseeds
Healthy Dietary Tips

What's in it?

Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). Because our bodies cannot manufacture this essential fatty acid, we must consume it in foods. Important for regulating blood pressure and for cell membrane health, ALA may have a wide range of beneficial health effects, including the ability to prevent heart disease. ALA makes flaxseed oil healthful, though it should be noted that fiber and lignans are lost when the flaxseeds are processed into oil.

Insoluble fiber. This type of fiber keeps your digestive system running smoothly and helps to prevent constipation.

Lignans. Also referred to as phytoestrogens, lignans have mild estrogenic properties. Lignans may also play a protective role against autoimmune disorders such as systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, as well as fibrocystic breasts and some hormonerelated cancers (breast, endometrial, and prostate).

Soluble fiber. The soluble fiber in flaxseeds forms a gel in the intestine, helping trap and usher out harmful LDL ("bad") cholesterol particles.

Maximazing the benefits

To get the most out of flaxseeds, grind them (in a coffee grinder). Unless the seeds are well chewed or ground, they simply pass through the body, and you don't reap their health benefits. In addition, don't heat flaxseed oil—this will destroy its alpha-linolenic content as well as make the oil taste unpleasant.
