Hello, we hope this email newsletter finds you well and enjoying the beginning of your summer.
Due to our unbiased approach to technology, a big part of the MEG engineering team’s job
is to be researching for the latest and greatest technologies and manufacturers in the marketplace
on our customers’ behalf. When it comes to lighting, there is no better place to learn about new technology and meet manufacturers than LightFair, the world’s largest lighting exhibition and tradeshow. Last month, two of our engineers traveled to LightFair in New York City. Below is a brief update on some of what we learned and trends that we see. Hopefully, some of these tidbits are valuable for your organization. If you'd like to discuss our findings at Lightfair in more detail, please contact us!
SCREW-IN LAMPS
With the capacity for a warmer color temperature, the most recent
screw-in LED lamps are becoming increasingly incandescent.
FILAMENT LAMPS
Many manufacturers have begun producing lamps with a clear glass bulb and the replicated
look of traditional filament, a screw-in option that could work well for hospitality customers.
HIGH BAY FIXTURES
Recent manufacturers of high bay fixtures are recreating the look of a standard
metal halide fixture, all while driving down wattage and upping the lumen output.
