Golfing for Good
More than 100 golfers took part in the annual SMCC Athletics golf tournament at Prouts Neck Country Club on June 16, raising about $15,000 for SMCC's athletic programs.

Student Leadership
Radiology student Tori Babcock was selected for the American Society of Radiologic Technologists 2015 Student Leadership Development Program. She received an all-expenses paid trip to the ASRT Educational Symposium in Albuquerque, N.M., in June.

Recognition Award
SMCC's Business & Community Partnerships Department won an award from the Greater Portland Council of Governments for the Hospitality & Customer Service Rising Stars Academy, held last winter at SMCC. Dean Julie Chase is shown holding the award certificate.

Next Step Scholarship
SMCC grad Joseph N. Mushishi has been awarded a 2015 Next Step Maine Employee of Promise Scholarship. Joseph graduated in May and now attends USM.
