NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE HEART OF A PARASPORT CHAMPION.

Tickets are now on sale for:

Push! Real Athletes. Real Stories. Real Theatre.
PUSH! traces the history of Paralympic competition from 1944 to the present day, weaving together six athletes' individual journeys to paint an exceptionally diverse picture of what it is to be a world-class athlete.

This original Tangled Art + Disability production developed in association with Ping Chong + Company and with support from Ryerson University will receive its world premiere during the 2015 Parapan Am Games as part of the arts and culture festival PANAMANIA presented by CIBC.

PUSH! is directed by internationally acclaimed theatre artist Ping Chong and written by Ping Chong and Sara Zatz in collaboration with the performers: Sarai Demers, Jenna Lambert, Victoria Nolan, Paul Rosen, Martha Sandoval Gustafson and Jody Schloss. The production features the athletes themselves telling their own stories, on stage, for the first time.

This event will feature captions, ASL interpretation and audio description, with on site attendant care. For questions regarding accessibility, please call 647-725-5064 or email katie@tangledarts.org.

This is an experimental movement workshop great for dancers and non-dancers alike to explore space in an inclusive environment. This simple set of guidelines for walking and stopping sets a group of people in motion, creating ever-evolving, constantly recalibrating, gloriously eventful group choreography. The workshop will be led by creator Peggy Baker, one of the most influential contemporary dancers of her generation.

Portrait of Rina Fraticelli

Many thanks to Rina Fraticelli for her dedication to Tangled Art + Disability

After four and a half years and immeasurable contributions to Tangled, Rina Fraticelli will step down from the position of Executive and Programming Director at Tangled. Since being hired in 2011, Fraticelli has expanded the organization's activities from an annual festival to a year-round program of professional development workshops, engaging arts presentations, and touring events. She is responsible for the re-branding of the organization - from Abilities Arts Festival to Tangled Art + Disability - and for kickstarting and supporting the careers of countless disability-identified artists in Toronto and beyond. We are eternally grateful for her creativity, dedication, and continuing support of Deaf and Disability Arts and culture. Thank you, Rina, for all you have done!

As most of you will have heard by now, at the end of June I stepped down as Executive and Programming Director of Tangled Art + Disability after four and a half unbelievably wonderful years in that position. To all of you who have been part of this amazing time, I want to say thank you for one of the most fulfilling, illuminating, and out-and-out  exciting experiences of my career.

It's been an absolute privilege to share in this dynamic "moment" in the evolution of disability arts and culture in Canada; and a gift to have met and worked with so many extraordinary artists and art lovers. My time at Tangled has meant more to me than I can begin to say.

I will continue to be a passionate supporter of this important organization and its stellar team as they continue to make disability history. Hope we have a chance to raise a glass together at the opening of PUSH! next month.

A bientot,
Rina Fraticelli
