Real Bride Spotlight: Congratulations to Maggie and Brad! Their romance started in typical DC fashion, at a political fundraiser. The fundraiser was being held at Cantina Marina, when Brad walked in Maggie immediately said to her brother, "Who is that guy? I want to meet him!" Mike, Maggie’s brother, kindly introduced them- and the rest is history.

After about eight years of dating, Brad proposed. He took Maggie to her favorite spot on Martha’s Vineyard and had arranged for their families to meet them after to celebrate. He is from New York and she is from the Chicago area, but they both live in DC so they decided to get married here. With families flying in from around the country, the nation’s capital served as the perfect meeting point.

The wedding ceremony was held at St. Dominic's Catholic Church followed by a reception on the roof of 101 Constitution.  The bride and groom were taken by the panoramic DC views at 101, and they knew their out of town guests would be too!

Maggie wore a beautiful Monique Lhuillier corset and skirt, accented by a traditional lace mantilla veil. She says they opted out of the "first look" and pictures in advance because she wanted the dramatic moment of seeing Brad for the first time.  Between the ceremony and reception the couple had a traditional catholic break where they took their photographs.  For the bride, her favorite part of the day were the quiet moments with her groom while the photographers got the lighting and shots set up.  She says she was happy they were able to enjoy each other before the crazy party that followed. During the reception she was touched by the speeches from her dear father, their best friends, and all of their siblings.

The new Mr. and Mrs. plan on staying in DC and just purchased a home on Capitol Hill! You can see more from Maggie and Brad's wedding on our blog August 19th.

Congratulations again, we wish you a lifetime of happiness!
