The first session will be on the rationale for buying rights, sources of information on potential titles, making contact with rights-holders and the practicalities of negotiating terms and finalising a contract for the purchase of rights.

The final session will cover the promotion and sale of rights, whether the titles originate in Singapore or are represented by the Singapore office, covering what resources are needed to provide the service and practical advice on finding suitable licensees and negotiating terms. The importance of book fairs will be stressed throughout.
