Written by Paul Hofheinz, president and co-founder of the Lisbon Council, and Michael Mandel, chief economic strategist of PPI and senior fellow at Wharton’s Mack Institute for Innovation Management at the University of Pennsylvania, the paper analyses the growing role of data, data analytics and intangible assets in international trade. It makes recommendations to policymakers for harnessing the immense power of data analytics around an agenda of economic growth and shared prosperity on both sides of the Atlantic. The policy brief was launched at the High-Level Roundtable on Driving the Hidden Value of Digital Trade, convened by the Lisbon Council and PPI in the Résidence Palace, Brussels.
