Reason #2 - Winners Sell More Wine!

Winners sell more wine. It may sound simple, but it's true. WineAlign is a proven promoter of winners through our growing base of engaged wine consumers.

Winning entries in the World Wine Awards of Canada (The Worlds/WWAC) will enjoy increased consumer recognition as a direct result of their success, leveraging their winning status in various marketing strategies following the awards.

All wines entered according to the regulations will be tasted and assessed in a first or preliminary round. Judges will use the same 100-point system used by our critics at WineAlign. High scoring wines will be eligible to move to a second and possibly third round to determine the best wines in the competition. Based on their scores your wines could be awarded one of the medals pictured above.

With over 1.5 million unique visitors a year and growing WineAlign is in a unique position to present and re-present medal winning wines every time someone looks it up on our website. The results are fully integrated into the WineAlign website, creating a lasting virtual medal for all winning participants. All medal winning wines will have their WWAC status displayed alongside their notes each time they appear in a WineAlign search result. That is a lot of on-going coverage.

All wines will be added to the WineAlign database with a high-quality bottle image. Award winning wines will also receive a professional, blind review, many in both French and English. In fact, if the winning wine is tagged as available in the Quebec market we do our best to ensure it gets a professional review in French.

In addition to the virtual stickers that will appear on WineAlign, we will also give you the opportunity to purchase actual stickers that can be proudly displayed on wine bottles.

Judging takes place:

August 27 - 31
Toronto, Ontario

WineAlign, Canada’s largest and most popular online wine site, is now accepting entries for the 2015 World Wine Awards of Canada (WWAC) “The Worlds”.

The Worlds are open to all wines that are for sale in Canada – domestic or imported – that retail somewhere in Canada for $50 CDN or less.

Wines will be judged against their peers in separate price categories. This approach allows us to find value in different price categories and ensures all wines get a fair showing.

Over the next few weeks, we will be highlighting the top reasons you should enter your wines in this exciting event.

Important Dates:

Aug 7: Online registration closes
