Lopon Osel Gyurme Teaching Continues, June 30- July 7 ...
Lopon Osel began teaching on the text "Letter to a Friend" by the enlightened Buddhist Master Nagarjuna on June 24, and will continue into the first week of July.
Lopon Osel Gyurme has spent his entire life in the Dharma, receiving a complete traditional monastic education, ascending the to the degree of Lopon, or Buddhist Master.

Teaching Dates and Start Times
Following regular group practice at Saraha (starting at 7 pm), the following dates and teaching start times are confirmed. Students are welcome to attend group practice prior to the teachings.

Lopon is employing a traditional style of teaching on a mighty subject, such as the "Letter to a Friend," of continuous address over a span of many days, and with individual teaching sessions of unfixed duration.. so there are no designated end times to the daily teachings: See Saraha's ONLINE CALENDAR for event updates.
Who can come? Anyone can come. How much does it cost? $10 per session suggested donation.
Again, Dharma Friends, Hear Ye Hear Ye, this is a rare event and rare opportunity to meet and learn from such a Buddhist master as Lobpon Osel.
Khenpo Jigmet Tobden Teaching : Clear and Stable Visualization : July 12 & August 9 at Saraha
"Clear and Stable Visualization on the Path of Buddhist Tantra" ... special teaching event by Buddhist scholar and meditation master from Bhutan, Khenpo Jigmet Tobden at Saraha Nyingma Buddhist Institute.
Meditative visualization is practiced throughout tantric Buddhism. If done properly, it leads to swift results on the path of Enlightenment. In this special teaching, Bhutanese Khenpo Jigmet Tobden will provide instructions on how to accomplish this practice.
Traditional Zen "sesshin" : Residential Meditation Retreat : July 24 - July 29 at Saraha
From 6 pm, Friday, July 24 through noon, Wednesday July 29 Saraha will be honored to conduct its first-ever traditional Zen "Sesshin" meditation retreat under the guidance of Zen monk and senior teacher Matt Shinkai Kane, the founder of the Blue Cliff Zen Center.
This past month, Saraha was happy to accept the generous donation of beautiful and functional ritual musical instruments, thankas and other items from Bhutan. As a serendipitous synchronicity, the three Thanka donations received were mirror images of those currently above the main altar shrine. Thanks to the kind donors...

Saraha Nyingma Buddhist Institute operates Saraha Children's School, grades K-8 onsite during the regular school year, we are requesting donations to enable us to offer financial aid to qualified families for the coming year... Please help the school...
"Specifically we have a few families right now who have applied and been admitted but who are applying for financial aid to make it through the year. Right now, the main thing is that we need funds to be able to offer this financial aid to student/families. Annual tuition is $5,000 per child per year, $3,000 for siblings. Any amount you can give to this cause will help immediate need, and help us to build the school in the future..."
