Farm Newsletter June 2015

Seeding across Saskatchewan happened in record time this spring due to lack of rain to slow the process down. This blessing for some turned into a lack of moisture for many as seeding progressed. Flea beetles, cut worms, wind and lack of moisture have been and continue to be problematic in many areas. Pasture and hay crops were slow to become green but rainfall in the second week of June was fairly wide spread and most of the crops are starting to turn the corner now. In most areas crops are looking good again but undoubtedly there will be more peaks and valleys before harvest, there always is.

We all know that farmland is an excellent investment to own if you are a producer or an investor. This video speaks to the future value of farmland in a very interesting and unique manner. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Below are a list of some new listings as well as a few that you may have seen already. Call anytime if you would like advice on buying or selling farmland, I am always available and would love to hear from you!
