From its humble beginnings over 35 years ago, the Pride Festival and Parade has grown into a very important Houston tradition. This incredible celebration empowers not just the LGBT community, but the rest of the city to come together, celebrate and educate! The 2015 LGBT Pride Festival and Parade, which will be held in Downtown Houston for the first time ever, will take place around City Hall, Herman Square and Tranquility Park. The festivities which attract upwards of 425,000 attendees include something for everyone with various exhibits, a family fun zone, a health and wellness pavilion, free HIV testing and of course, the beloved parade! There are also multiple entertainment stages on which a whole cast of local and national artists including headliners, Estelle, Jessica Sutta, Ginger Minj and Big Freedia will perform! |
