Food, Quacking Fun, Flowers & Music Festival
Hovingham Village Market Saturday 4th July 10.30am-1.30pm

On Saturday, you can enjoy the market in the morning (entrance free) and spend the afternoon at the 'Flowers & Music Festival - a celebration of village life'. Come and see the amazing floral displays created by our local talented floral artists depicting all aspects of village life. 

Sir William and Lady Worsley, have kindly offered access to the private gardens of Hovingham Hall during the Festival.

With afternoon tea, a glass of Pimms and music from Swinton Brass Band, the Lally Family, St Peter's School Jazz Band and much more, make this your perfect weekend escape.

Our award winning stallholders look forward to seeing you - with cakes and pastries, honey, chocolates, beef, local lamb, sausages, fresh and smoked fish, meats and seafood, locally grown vegetables and plants, soups, pickles, olives, oils, Italian artisan food, gluten free and vegetarian foods, real bread, beer, jams, marmalades and preserves, apple products, fresh fruit, cheese, the 2015 International Wine Challenge Bronze award winning wines from Ryedale Vineyards, cut flowers, doggie delights, wedding and special event decorations, jewellery, cards, leather, wood, gifts and family history. Phew! So much to enjoy.

The Community Cafe is hosted by the Terrington & Scackleton Over 60's Group. Come along to our Community Stalls from Ryedale Homestart and Gillamoor Primary School (fundraising to build and develop a school in Kenya). 
A taste of summer returns. With rave reviews from ice cream connoisseurs, Emily from Fabulously Finished (weddings & special events decorations specialist) is serving her artisanal ice creams. Flavours include vanilla, Eton Mess, Chocolate Chip and Apple. Explore the attractive village of Hovingham whilst enjoying an ice cream.

Join in the fun of the Duck Race on Saturday at 1.30pm. Ducks are released along Hovingham Beck. There's prizes too for the winners: 1st prize £50  2nd prize £25  3rd prize £15. 

Buy your ducks for a £1 each from the Hovingham Village Bakery or Graham & Jackie Mason 01653 628386 or at the Market. All proceeds in aid of Hovingham Church Roof Appeal.

There's more family fun to be had in the Hovingham Children's Playground just around the corner from the Hovingham Beck.
