The New European Days' Reports

The first edition of the New European Days took place on June 4-6 2015. We discussed the added-value of New Europeans and honoured their excellences in the Forums and the Awards. We celebrated the European diversity during the Cultures United Festival and we help New European entrepreneurs internationalise their businesses in our Business and Trade Fair.

Visit to Matiate, member of Betiad
|
UNITEE has paid a visit to one of Betiad's member, Mr Faris Demir, owner of Antwerp-based Matiate Restaurant, a true culinary melting pot serving refined world-cuisine. Free Movement of Professionals - EPN
|
On 16 June 2015, EPN (European Professional Network) with the support of ECAS and UNITEE organized a panel on Free Movement of Professionals at the European Parliament. The event was co-hosted by MEP Eva Paunova and MEP Jo Leinen. The pannel discussed the necessity and importance of further developing Free Movement of labour in Europe.

Entrepreneurs meet Embassies, Amsterdam

On Tuesday, 2 of June, our Dutch member association HOGIAF organised the event 'Entrepreneurs meet Embassies' in Amsterdam. It was a great opportunity for entrepreneurs willing to venture into new markets to talk with ambassadors and representatives of over 30 countries on their international opportunities. Diversity Day,
Berlin
|
Our German Federation BUV participated to the second German Diversity Day organised at the initiative of the “Charta der Vielfalt” (Diversity Charter) association on on 3 June 2014. About 600 activities were hosted by 330 organisations all across Germany, which informed the participants about the role played by New Europeans and the potential of entrepreneurial diversity.

Award Ceremony, Stockholm
|
On 24 May 2015, Sweturk organised in Stockholm its annual Award Ceremony to recognise the talent and ambition demonstrated by people in their jobs. Awards were given in five categories: Academician of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Politician of the Year, Leader of the Year and lastly Athlete of the Year.
