E-LETTER & VICARLY VACATION
As much as I love hanging out at Holy Innocents, I will be away for the next two and half weeks. The E-letter will therefore also be resting, returning during the first week of August.
For information, or in pastoral emergencies, please contact our Deacon, the Rev. Marcus Crim (415-632-0691), or leave a message on the office number, 415-824-5142, where volunteer Marguerite Tafoya will pick it up.
Wishing everyone a pleasing couple of weeks! The Rev. Dr. Lois Williams will be with you, Sunday July 19, and the Rev. Cameron Ayers on Sunday, July 26. And of course our Deacon, the Rev.Marcus Crim and Student Deacon, Alberta Buller.
In love, Jane+

An Introduction to the Episcopal Church
New to Holy Innocents? New to the Episcopal Church? Or maybe just in search of a refresher course?
Join us for a newly starting Enquirers’ Class for the first four Sundays of August, after the 10am service. Each class will stand on its own, so no problem if you can’t make them all. We'll be using the book, "Your Faith, your Life: An Invitation to the Episcopal Church" by Jennifer Gambler with Bill Lewellis, (Morehouse Publishing: 2009).
(SEE EQUIPPING BELOVED COMMUNITY INFO AUG 29)

SF Night Ministry – Crisis Line Counseling Opportunity
Night Ministry Crisis Line Counselors (CLCs) offer compassionate, non-judgmental support to callers struggling with loneliness, depression, anxiety, worry, grief and other concerns. During hours when most social service organizations are closed, our night-time Crisis Counseling Line receives 18-20 calls per night, each of which can last anywhere from 5 to 50 minutes. Many of our callers face mental and physical health concerns, financial worries and social isolation, and they turn to us for counseling, conversation and referral services.
The San Francisco Night Ministry is seeking volunteer Crisis Line Counselors (CLCs). No specific prior training is required, nor is any particular religious background required. The only requirements are to be at least 18 and to have a compassionate heart and a desire to serve others.
Training (3 evenings or weekend afternoons) will be provided. The next two training classes are scheduled for:
Sundays -- July 12, 19, and 26, 2015 -- 2 to 4 p.m., and
Tuesdays -- Sept. 8, 15, and 22 -- 6 to 8 p.m.
Email
sfnightministry.org with questions or to register for one of these sets of three classes.
