Mid-Summer Update
September Meeting, Picnic, Amateur Radio Test Session, Repeater Shed Fund & Event Calendar

September Meeting - New Day! New Location!

Date: Friday, Sept. 4, 2015 (First Friday of the month.)

Time: 7:00 pm

Location: St. James Lutheran Church, in Limerick - at the intersection of Swamp Pike and Kugler Rd.

We thank Lisa, KB3YUB, and her husband Bill - KA3RMM, for arranging this meeting site.

The October Meeting will be the annual PECO emergency training. It will take place at the PECO Training Center - not the same place we used to meet, but a different nearby building.

PAARC Amateur Radio Testing Session

When: Sunday, Sept. 6th, 2015

Congratulations to Reg - N3KAS

The ARRL Eastern PA Section has recognized Reg Leister - N3KAS, with a Special Service Award for his many years of dedicated community service through Amateur Radio and the ARRL Field Organization. An engraved plaque will be presented at the PAARC meeting on Fri., Sept. 4th at St. James Lutheran Church in Limerick at 7:00 pm. Please join us to celebrate his achievement.

Repeater Shed Repair Fund

Ed - N3WXW, and Tom - K3TWL, have determined what materials are need to repair the repeater shed which has suffered from years of water incursion and wood rot.

The shed needs a new roof and much more so that it can continue to shelter the expensive radio equipment inside. A work crew is being put together and will tackle the shed repairs as a labor of love. The materials for the repairs are estimated at approximately $1,000.00.

We need the financial support of our members to cover this expense. Please donate to the Repeater Shed Repair Fund today. Repairs will begin soon.

Sat., Sept. 26 - Pottstown Airport’s Community Day. Young Eagles plane rides! Pottstown Municipal Airport 1149 Glasgow St. Pottstown, PA 19464. We set up Station N3E at 7:30am. Please come and operate the club's station and family members to operate also.
