The 95% File is Ready!
WUU's Design Build Team and Guernsey Tingle Architects continue their collaboration to design the best building solutions given our congregational needs and visions within the constraints of our budget. Probably there has not been a WUU project that has required so much work and attention to detail. Though the teams continue to pour over the pages to make certain that it is well documented for the bidding process, our design work is essentially finalized and changes at this point in time are close to zero (glaring issues not withstanding).
So we are pleased to provide you the results of this huge project! Remember, it is the 95% file so the teams continue to do minor editing for the remaining 5%. Perhaps your feedback will include something that we will have time to consider. However, the Design Team is well aware that most changes from this point on have huge $$ consequences. Additionally, remember that there are a few optional items that we have included in the document so that, if the bidding costs permit, we can add some or all of these into our new space.
You can review this document in one of three ways:
- Go to the home page at wuu.org, click on Our Facilities > Building Our Future > Recent Updates. It is the first document. The second document is the abbreviated schedule from now until August 2016. While you are at the Building Our Future link, you might want to look over some of the other new resources available including FAQs, How We Got Here, etc.

- Wait until Sunday when we will have the paper document ready for you to review. Please talk with any team members (Roger Guernsey, Sally Fisk, Nan Piland, David Neiman, Franz Gross, Les Solomon) if you have questions.
Unless your eyesight is really good, it might be worth the 3 or 4 minute download wait because you can then zoom to the size you need. Otherwise, it helps to have a magnifying glass.
