Utah State Auditor Dougall completes study looking at state monies that are used for athletic subsidies for schools around the Beehive State, says he's not drawing any conclusions, simply wants to make it more transparent to citizens where the money is going, 17.5% of Utah's $56.5m in revenues is from the state, Utah State's $14.2m athletics subsidy is the most for any institution, Weber State, Southern Utah & Utah Valley in the $7m to $9.6m range, more - link (article), link (full report)
Nebraska AD Eichorst commits to four-year full cost of attendance scholarships across the board for Cornhusker student-athletes, every s-a will also receive a laptop, full COA coverage will run just under $1m annually at a clip of $3,600 per, post-eligibility benefit program that would include grad school assistance & study abroad programs will also be part of the mix, 2014-15 resulted in a financial net gain with no university subsidies or state tax dollars - link
