We have had some wonderful times of prayer as Church recently. Next week some of the leaders are going to Wellington to gather with leaders from Auckland, Wellington and New Plymouth for the annual New Zealand Newfrontiers Prayer Summit. This is always a great time of encouragement and the prophetic for our churches.

Matt Pratt will be preaching this Sunday. Don't forget to sign up for the marriage course it looks like it will be a great way to spend a Friday evening.

The marriage course is starting on Friday 8th August and will run for 7 weeks. It is an opportunity to take time with your spouse to work through some important questions, in a loving and secure environment. There is no group work involved and you will be served delicious deserts and coffee.

EMERGENCY REPONSE UNIT
The ERU is a way for us to start co-ordinating a response for people who contact us and are in need. Last year we asked our church family to fill out a form letting us know what areas they felt they could contribute. This ranged from praying, cooking a meal, providing clothing. If you are interested in being involved and part of the data base please fill in this Google form.

Matt Walters will be sharing more about this and how you can be involved on Sunday.

We are excited to be starting a new community outreach initiative called 1 in 10. It is an opportunity to outreach to those in need, promote the Gospel and King's activities to those that may not know about Jesus.

Every 10 weeks for an afternoon on the weekend we will be getting out and helping others in a practical way. We will focus on a family or individual that needs some support. We will give them an afternoon of gardening, clearing some rubbish, or giving something a lick of paint.

There are many ways that you can get involved in this; prayer, practical activities, handing out flyers, cooking sausages and chatting with others.

Our first afternoon will be on the 12^th September more details to follow.

It's about time.......... you started inviting your friends and family for what will be an excellent family fun evening.
