From Ruth and Steve Marino:

Our enormous peach tree had become a victim of a storm while we were away.  It has a diameter at the base of about 10" or more. We have a lot of wood that we will give away, help to cut, and even assist in bringing to someone's house. Our goal is not to have it go to waste or end up in a fireplace. I think the large sections of peach wood will be unusual and can turn into (no pun intended) nice projects for an interested party. We live in Philadelphia near La Salle University. Our phone number is 215-329-6485.

Cub Scout Instructor Needed

Ten cub scouts, ages 8/9, need to earn their whittling chip this year. We were looking for someone to give about an hour talk on safety and the basics of whittling. If you could help out or know of someone who could, please email Brenda at we3bkt@gmail.com.
Renaissance Fair is coming to the  Middletown Grange September 19th and 20th and we've been invited to participate.  We will have a table in one of the buildings' lockable partitions. This space will allow us to demonstrate turning and offer items for sale in a secure environment. If you are interested in being part of this contact Matt Overton.
