Hello Shopfronters,
What a chilly few months it has been since we last emailed. Here is a quick run down of what has been going on:
- Shopfront AGM - we held a very successful Annual General Meeting in which we voted in changes to Shopfront's constitution (our legal rules) and our Official Name (once the paperwork is in, we'll be known as Shopfront Arts Co-op)
- Term 2 End of Terms - a weekend spectacular that showcased the hard work and talent of our lovely workshop participants and the short shows and films they created in Term 2. Inspiring!
So, what's coming up next?
- Renovations - we have been meeting with builders, engineers, and architects to finalise plans for some immediate repairs to our wonderful old building.
- Term 3 Workshops - enrolments are open, the Early Bird Special ends this weekend, and workshops begin NEXT WEEK. YAY! If you've already signed up, we'll email you on Thursday this week to confirm all the details.
- Romeo and Juliet - Shopfront is presenting a brand new production of Romeo and Juliet featuring a cast of 20 young people and adults, including some of Shopfront's current members and founding members.
- Out of Line at ATYP - As part of the ATYP Cameo series, Shopfront's Bodylines Ensemble is remounting their wildly successful dance theatre work Out of Line. August 27 and 28 at The Wharf, tickets available soon.

Term 3 Workshops
Enrolments open!
Our fabulous workshop series is back for Term 3! With Theatre-making and Performance workshops for 8-12s, 12-16s and 16-18s, as well as Film-making workshops for 10-14s and 14-18s, we've got all interests covered!
PLUS - if you're keen to work across 2 terms to create a full-length, brand new show with puppets, digital animation and much more, then sign up for JUNIOR ENSEMBLE.

Shopfront presents
Romeo and Juliet
It’s Shopfront’s 40th birthday next year – and we have started celebrating already!
A talented cast of 20, aged from 12 – 50 is bringing William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet to the St George area this July.
Co-founder of Shopfront in the 1970's Dr Errol Bray is returning to Shopfront to direct the production alongside 1980's Shopfronter Kirsty Jordan.
Playing on Friday and Saturday nights right here at Shopfront from July 17 - August 1.
