Q2 2015 payroll tax returns are due july 31st!
For clients handling their own payroll please remember to submit your second quarter Form 941 to the IRS and Form DE9 to the EDD by the July 31st due date. Please let us know if you need any assistance with this. For our payroll clients, no action required for you - we handle the filings electronically!

Q2 2015 san francisco payroll expense and gross receipts tax filing and payments are due july 31st!
- If you are a business with $260,000 or less in San Francisco payroll expense for the 2014 tax year, you're exempt from the Payroll Expense Tax.
- If you are a business with $1,000,000 or less in San Francisco gross receipts for the 2014 tax year, you're exempt from the Gross Receipts Tax.
- If you're not exempt you can pay online at http://sftreasurer.org/. Click on "2015 Quarterly filing: 2015 Gross Receipts & Payroll Expense Tax Quarterly Installment Filing." NOTE: you'll need your seven digit Business Account Number (shown on the notice you receive), the last four digits of your business tax identification number (Federal EIN or SSN), and your PIN (also shown on the notice mailed to you). If you need help filing your Q2 return please let us know as soon as possible.

reminder! california paid sick leave law now in effect
This law took effect July 1st and applies to all employers with employees in California. More information can be found at http://www.dir.ca.gov/dlse/Paid_Sick_Leave.htm.

please remember...
- For our payroll clients, if you're hiring an employee in a different state please give us a heads up as soon as possible so we can register with the various state departments which may take up to two weeks to complete.
- If you're opening a new account - i.e. checking, savings, credit card, line of credit - please let us know so we can update the books in a timely fashion.
