SUMMER FUN HAS BEGUN!

We can't believe it's already summer- can you? Summer hours at our office have kicked in, so while our office will be closed on Fridays until September, our staff will still be in Monday-Thursday, 9:00am-5:00pm to assist you!

We have a very busy summer ahead. In addition to our continuing core programing, we've been awarded not one, but THREE big grant opportunities in the past three months! A $300,000 grant awarded to HOCN through the Better Buffalo Fund will assist property owners on Niagara Street in our community with building upgrades and improvements. We will also be taking part in the Pay for Success Program with  Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo to conduct a feasibility study on reducing asthma triggers in homes.  In addition to these two new programs, HOCN was awarded $765,000 from the NYS Affordable Housing Corporation to continue supporting homeowners in our community with funding for health and safety violations in their homes.
You can learn more about these awards, as well as other available programs below.

This should be an exciting summer for us here at HOCN, so be sure to follow our updates on Facebook and Twitter!  We hope everyone has a fun and safe summer and takes advantage of all the great events going on in our community!

Sincerely,

Stephanie Simeon, Executive Director
