Summer is Here !!!
Its the start of the Summer holidays already so please make sure that you check the class timetable below as my holidays are spread over the summer which is different than previous years!
Well done to those of you that have reached your summer targets and also to those of you that have risen to the Summer Challenge and introduced for good your two new habits. Its great to see and hear the benefits they are bringing you.
My talks on training and heart rate has generated a lot of interest so below is the chart I referred to. Very interesting for some of you and you know who I mean :-) !!!! You can monitor your heart rate to train effectively and get the results you want, and remember there are all sorts of factors that will influence this heat, medication and medical conditions, please ask if you are not sure.
Maximum Heart rate = 220-your age
Blue Zone (endurance & fat burning) 60-70%
Green Zone (Improves aerobic fitness) 70-80%
By the end of the Summer I am hoping to have finalised all my paperwork for my exams so watch this space at what will be coming next!! I mentioned in class about use of weights and am still considering the type and introduction of them over the summer, so will have more news around September
What is Fitness Pilates?
Based upon the teachings of Joseph Pilates, it takes on board modern fitness trends and involves more functional movements for everyday life whilst still applying the main fundamentals such as breathing, centering, concentration, balance and control.
Its roots in fitness make it an excellent recommendation for a total body programme and will compliment your regular work-out classes.

Is it suitable for everyone?
Fitness Pilates is a group exercise programme that is designed to enhance the posture, strength, balance and stability of a healthy adult. It is not remedial, clinical or diagnostic in its approach but has its base firmly in group fitness.

Hughenden Valley Village Hall 4.30-5.30pm
