Zion Lutheran Church
Wooster, Ohio
Renovation Singers

On Sunday August 9th, as part of our 175th Anniversary Celebration, Zion will welcome former members of the Renovation Singers group to both morning services.  They will sing, lead us in song and share how that group was part of their Christian journey.  There will be a reception (finger sandwiches, drink and sweets) following the 10:45 service. Why not stay and catch up with our friends?
Reception for Renovation Singers on August 9th

Cindy Nolt needs help preparing food for the reception.  If you are able to help provide finger sandwiches and/or sweets for the reception, please see the sign-up sheets in Rooms 100 & 200.
Rally Day for Sunday School
August 16th at 9:30am

Join us for song, games, food and fun!
Don't miss this great start to Sunday School!
Blessing of the Backpacks
August 16th
at both services

Students of all ages and school personnel are invited to bring their backpacks as we ask God's blessing on the year ahead.
We’re excited about Sunday School!

This year we’ll be using Sparkhouse Rotation curriculum.  This means that students learn by doing.  Following an upbeat opening, there will be learning station for three age groups.  We’ll learn about the Old and New Testaments as well as our Lutheran heritage as we hear stories, do art, learn from science and computers, cook and do wood working.  We meet each week at 9:30.
Come and bring a friend!

Calling All Key Holders

I am trying to update Zion’s key lists so that they more accurately display who is currently holding keys to the church.  Please look through any key drawers or baskets to see if you have a key to the church.  The keys will have a letter stamped in the middle of the key or in the upper left hand corner.  Some will also have a number stamped in the upper right hand corner.  I need to know the letter and number on any keys that you have (For example: A 12, Z 38, X 10).  If you no longer need your keys to the church, please return them to the office.
Thank you!
The newsletter deadline for the September edition of the Voice is on Saturday, August 15th.
