European Biotech Week: Put your events on the map!

The third edition of the European Biotech Week will take place between 12 - 18 October, 2015. Biotech National Associations, in collaboration with companies, academic and government institutions, science museums and the media, will organise events across Europe. Save the date for the dozens of activities already planned and get involved in this yearly initiative! 

Host City For EFIB 2016: And the winner is...

Glasgow was announced as the host city for EFIB 2016, the leading European event for industrial biotechnology and the bioeconomy. Represented by the Industrial Biotechnology Innovation Centre (IBioIC) and Scottish Enterprise, the announcement highlights Scotland’s position as a prominent hub for the industrial biotechnology sector in the UK and Europe. Read more

EU funding for research

The European Investment Bank approved €10 billion of new loans for a total of 45 projects. Reflecting the EIB’s broader support for innovation and competitiveness, new investments will back, among others, medical research to treat epilepsy and Parkinson’s disease. Read more
