You Gave David a Life-Changing Opportunity!
David wants to say "thank you" to donors like you for giving him the chance to study organic farming in Costa Rica. He received the Global Opportunities scholarship and says, "This was a life-changing experience. If I hadn't gotten the scholarship, I probably wouldn't have been able to go."
Born into a second-generation farming family, David's passion is growing food. He's majoring in Applied Plant Science and hopes to receive his associate degree next fall. He recognizes the critical role you play in helping students afford education and says, "Supporting students gives them the confidence to pursue new opportunities. I'm thankful I got the chance to study abroad!"
Through a partnership with the EARTH University, NMC has sent students to Costa Rica for the past several years. In fact, NMC leads Michigan community colleges in both the number of students studying abroad and the number of locations they can study in—this is largely made possible through support of donors like you.
The Global Opportunities Fund helps students learn about the world, build confidence in new situations, and think about how they might use their skills in a global marketplace. Many students would not have access to this coursework without your generous gifts to the Global Opportunities Fund.
