GRYC Invitational Regatta – August 1 – 2nd


The annual GRYC Invitational Regatta is less than 2 weeks away.  
  • Please refer to the Notice of Race on the website providing all the salient details.
  • Pre-register on the site here.  As usual, submission of the completed registration form and payment is to be made in person at GRYC on Friday,  July 31st from 6 - 8 pm and last minute registrants will be accepted on Saturday August 1st at 8 - 9 a.m.  
  • Members wanting to reserve club boats can do so as early as Monday, July 27th, by meeting in person with the Manager.  Payment is required to reserve a boat. 
  • There are still volunteer positions available, so please sign up right away.

Club Night - July 22nd Cancelled

Next Club Night is July 29th Burgers and Sausage.  Sign up by Sunday July 26th.

 

Reminders from the Manager

  • Please do not store any extra gasoline in lockers on the island. We are restricted to storage only in the designated gas storage locker. It poses a serious fire risk.
  • When entering and exiting the club please insure the gate is properly closed behind you. No slamming please.
  • All members should be parking in the parking lot or the spots on the hill facing the correct direction. Please do not park in the neighbours parking or block the entrance to the private parking.
  • Please continue to carry on carry off all garbage, wine bottles,beer bottles etc.
  • Please respect other members by leaving a clear and safe walkway on the swimming pool area and access to swim ladders.
  • Please follow the life jacket club policy.

Water Testing Results

Attached  are the results of the water quality tests done at the GRYC waterfront by the Friends of the Gatineau  / Amis de la rivière Gatineau  on Sunday, July 5th.  A total of six samples were taken at the docks, swimming area and in the north bay of the island.  The overall results are excellent with respect to the presence of e-coli.
