There is a large variety of Universal Newborn Hearing Screening (UNHS) programs globally, many of which grew out of small-scale regional programs. However, too few of these programs are efficient and accountable. Evaluation of successful UNHS programs shows the need for key components as a basis for program development; we will discuss these components along with the dynamic process of program evaluation. Contemporary Issues in the Evaluation and Management of Auditory Neuropathy Spectrum Disorder

Individuals with auditory neuropathy/dys‐synchrony (AN/AD, ANSD) have varied auditory and other characteristics, including speech understanding and reduced temporal processing ability. These factors combine differently for each patient, resulting in variable ability to use auditory information, impact on language development and success with different management approaches. This workshop supports a multi-disciplinary approach to identifying and monitoring physiologic changes over time. Click here to learn more.
