Free Bus Pass Program Begins for City Workers
Starting in July, all employees of the City of Knoxville are eligible for a free bus pass! The passes provide 20 rides per month, so employees are encouraged to use the bus to get to and from work. And, by replacing driving alone and parking for the free pass, City workers will save BIG MONEY! Wish your office would provide this service? For the month of August, Y-12 National Security Complex and Oak Ridge National Laboratory will be competing in the Smart Trips Employer Challenge! For the entire month, both companies will compete to see how many new members they can recruit, how high they can increase their overall workplace participation rate and how many green commutes their members can make. Commuter Diagnosis
Smart Trips is hosting an informational session with all City-County Building employees on Aug. 13 to help diagnose commuting issues. Want to bike to work but aren't sure the best route? Need help finding a carpool partner? Not sure how alternative commuting can save you money? Come see us! We will be in Conference Room 549 from 10 a.m.-noon. Bonus Days
Need motivation to log your green commutes? We hear you. It's one more thing to do in your busy schedule. To help inspire you to keep up with logging, starting this quarter, we will be awarding double points on randomly selected Smart Trips Bonus Days! At the end of the quarter, we will randomly select two days a month. If you made and logged Smart Trips on those days, you will get double the points! This can help you qualify for $50 prizes for our occasionally green commuters, or push you over the edge to the $100 prizes! Make logging your commutes a routine so you can win big!
