It's been an exciting month at Norris Square Neighborhood Project
The summer Work Ready program has been amazing, with youth exploring culture through food, dance, and art, youth power, and issues impacting teens in the community. Youth have learned the history of bomba, harvested and prepared fresh produce for community meals, and created original short films.
To celebrate their achievements, you are invited to join us at our free culminating event for summer programs on August 14th starting at 7PM in Las Parcelas (2248 N Palethorp). We'll be screening original short videos created by youth over the course of the summer as well as some professional shorts curated by Scribe Video Center as part of their Scribe's Street Movies initiative.
By the way, if you haven't heard, with your help we successfully raised 103% of our crowdfunding goal of $8,000 not including matching funds to build an earthship-style greenhouse to grow fresh produce.
Thank you for your support! ¡P'alante!
