Hi <<First Name>>

I hope your summer is going well! After spending six weeks in The Pas area of Northern Manitoba, my husband and I are still adjusting to the heat.

I really enjoy our fishing trips to Cormorant Lake.  There are no cell phones and no internet.  It forces me to truly get "unplugged" and to just enjoy "being".  I was able to do numerous sketches in watersoluable graphite and (more colourfully) in watercolour.

Two of the sketches I have done in Manitoba over the years have been accepted into the "Sketch" show at the Federation of Canadian Artists gallery on Granville Island in Vancouver. Nice to share these with other people!

Art Classes - Fall 2015

I will be offering a series of art classes this fall. This series of art classes is designed to help participants on their journey to reach the next level in their painting.  It will be of specific benefit to those artists who have become comfortable with their chosen medium but are unsure of how to progress.

For more information, please click here.

New Painting, New Palette

I have just started a new painting in acrylic and have decided to challenge myself to using some of the tubes of paint that I have purchased but never truly incorporated into my work...or...have not used in a long time.

The paints in question are of the yellow and red families.  The reference photo shown here leans more towards those colours than the ones I have been using all winter to paint fall scenes with.

To follow my progress, check out my blog. I will post more installments as the painting progresses!
