WHISTLER
In Whistler, there were 10 sales of chalets in June and there are 125 active listings. There are 62 chalet homes priced under $2m. The median sale price was $1,618,000, in May the median sale price was 1,052,139 and last year 1,300,000 in 2014. This explains why the lowest priced chalets are getting multiple offers. Bottom line your A-frame in Alpine just took a big price jump. The overall market is a Buyers Market.
The condo/townhome market in Whistler featured 39 sales and 266 active listings, with a median sale price of $427,719. The neighbourhood of Whistler Village featured the most sales activity in the month of June.

SQUAMISH
In Squamish, there were 38 sales of detached homes and 86 active listings at the end of the month. The median sale price was $676,500, with an average days on market of 48. The neighbourhoods of Garibaldi Highlands featured the most sales activity for detached homes in the month of June.
The condo/townhome market in Squamish featured 40 sales and 72 active listings, with a median sale price of $369,250 and an average days on market of 69. Downtown Squamish featured the most sales activity with 21 sales in the month of June.

June has been the hottest selling month on record for Vancouver.
Vancouver Real Estate Sizzles with Hottest June Sales on Record: REBGV
The weather wasn’t the only thing scorching in Greater Vancouver in June, with real estate sales seeing the hottest June on record, and the second hottest month ever, a according to Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver (REBGV) figures released July 3.
Sales rose 28.4 per cent compared with June 2014, and an increase of 7.9 per cent compared with May 2015.
Last month’s 4,375 unit sales were 29.1 per cent above the 10-year sales average for the month. It’s also the fourth straight month with more than 4,000 sales, which is a first in the REBGV’s history. The previous highest number of residential home sales was 4,434, recorded in May 2005.
