Debut Author, Wedd, can't believe the response from her first week of sales:

"I have been overwhelmed by the positive response to ‘The Walnut Tree’ from readers who have been contacting me since the book was launched just a week ago. It’s a great feeling to have written a book that is bringing such a lot of pleasure and enjoyment to lots and lots of people."

Here's the latest review from an enchanted anonymous Amazon customer:

"A book you can't put down once you get into it. Along with its main theme of a woman's quest for love and affection are interwoven many profound issues including anger, regret, sorrow and loyalty. Hard to believe that this is a first novel by the author."

The Walnut Tree Synopsis
Ambitious, young, ‘would-be’ journalist Carrie Langford’s boring, sterile, life is turned upside down by a chance encounter with a stuttering young farmer and his father, ‘staring’ old man Wilson.

Tortured by the guilt that is daily forced upon her by her troubled mother, Carrie longs to be loved, longs to be free.

Captivated by the Wilsons and obsessed by her discovery of a different way of living, Carrie embarks on a journey of awakening in search of her own reality; ‘the unforgettable; the unexpected; the unwanted.’

Wedd continues:
"Just like Carrie in The Walnut Tree my world has been turned upside down, in my case by writing down the idea for a story that first came to me nearly 19 years ago! My next book will be a lot faster – it will have to be – customers are already asking to pre-order Journey to the End of the Night:"

Will it be alright?      What is true love?      When is bad blood real?

How do you forgive the unforgiveable...and survive?

‘If you’re not afraid to die, you can live…’
