65kms 65 Roses Challenge this Weekend!
Good luck to Hunter Jackson who's running an incredible 65kms from Two Rocks to Cottesloe this weekend, raising money for his sister with CF and others like her.
He has raised nearly $8,000, what and awesome achievement!

The Deloitte Spring Rose Art Show and Exhibition is coming soon and we are once-again inviting CFWA members to have their work displayed alongside nationally renowned artists by painting a rose on a canvas we provide.

Changing of the Guard at US CF Foundation
Earlier this week Robert J. Beall, Ph.D., announced he will step down as president and chief executive officer of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in the USA, effective 31 December 2015.
Preston W. Campbell III, M.D., currently the Foundation’s executive vice president for medical affairs, will succeed Dr. Beall as president and CEO.

Promising Research out of Adelaide
Results of a carefully-conducted clinical trial of a Cystic Fibrosis (CF) airway gene therapy performed in the UK have shown that when a healthy copy of the defective CF gene is transferred into diseased patient airways, lung function can be improved by an average of 3.7%.
This research is being used as the basis for a new trial being run in Adelaide. Click here for a full media release. |
