Little By Little: Haiti Update

When the Haitian earthquake hit in 2010, Saint Basil Coffee supporters stepped forward with time, talent and treasure to help Fr. Joseph Phillippe and the Congregation of the Holy Spirit help those who had lost everything. Five years later, we thought we'd show you what our dear friends in Haiti have done with your generous donations.

When the call came in for help raising funds to purchase shipping containers, YOU answered. Here, one of the containers has been turned into a new office to help the Fr. Phillippe and the rest of the staff at the Congregation of the Holy Spirit stay organized!

Since Fr. Phillippe works to help orphans, there was immediate need for dorm rooms where the children could sleep and feel safe.

It's taken time and materials have been hard to find but adding roofs, siding and decking make for a warm and inviting transformation to what was once an orphanage devastated by being located at the epicenter of the Haitian earthquake.

As summer in the States winds down, we wanted to tell you that even though it took more than five years, great things (like your faithful support and partnership) can take time. Little by little we can help Fr. Phillippe and others like him who work to help those less fortunate have a better life. We can't wait to continue showing you the great progress he's making and the lives you're helping him change with every purchase of Saint Basil Coffee.
