Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities!
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Rock at the Row's VIP Tent
For the second year in a row, SCAN is looking for volunteers to help support the VIP lounge at Rock at the Row. As some of you know, this is a 6-week concert series at Pentagon Row. On Tap Magazine will be partnering with SCAN and we will receive 100% of proceeds from the VIP guests during the entire series. We will need 4 volunteers to help “staff” the VIP section at the remaining concerts Thursday, August 6, 14, and 20. Each volunteer shift runs from 6:30 to 9. This is a fun and easy way to volunteer with SCAN, and also a great opportunity for friends/small groups.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Parenting Classes
Our next parenting class starts August 27th and runs ever Thursday through October 15th from 6 to 9pm. We need help in many areas that support a successful series of classes. There will be a special parenting class orientation on August 20th. Interested volunteers need to call Zayda Galvez to schedule an interview at 703-820-9001 prior to orientation day. Help make a direct impact on the lives of children and families.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Toast to Hope 2015
Our Toast to Hope planning committee has begun meeting to plan our next grand event. If you are interested in planning this event, our next committee meeting will be on Tuesday August 18th, 6:30pm at SCAN's Carol Cleary Community Training Room - 205 S. Whiting Street, Suite 205, Alexandria. Anyone interested in helping us plan the event from finding sponsors and donors, securing silent auction items, decorations, and day of needs, should attend. If you cannot make this meeting but are still interested in helping please contact Sonia at soniaq@scanva.org.

Palmercare Chiropractic with locations throughout Northern Virginia will be holding their annual charity golf tournament at the Pleasant Valley Golf Club in Chantilly, Virginia on Saturday August 15th.
