Chuck Rides 1480 Miles for Charity
Chuck Robinson of Village Books in Bellingham, Washington was well on his way to biking 2400 miles for charity - when a couple of unrestrained dogs brought his ride to a crash ending. Chuck sustained three broken & two cracked ribs, many bruises and plenty of road rash, but he is recovering well. He and Dee are finishing their journey in their motor-home and will certainly have plenty of tales to tell.
Chuck's ride raised an amazing amount to support Binc programs. Supporters have currently pledged more than $10,000 to Binc. Including a substantial donation from our friends at Ingram Content Group.
If you pledged to Binc, make your donation here, and in the box for "Tribute Gift." Check the button for "In Honor" and put "Chuck's Big Ride" in place of  "Person's Name."
Were you waiting to make a pledge? You can make the donation on our site and we will notify Chuck of your contribution!

Binc Super Star: LeAnn Hartka
At the Binc Foundation we count ourselves very lucky to have a group of fabulous volunteers to jump in whenever we need a little help. LeAnn Hartka typifies this "can do" attitude. LeAnn has served as a member of the Program Committee for  four years, always adding her caring insight to assistance cases and program discussions. In addition to this committee participation, LeAnn recently compiled an extensive database for Binc to use for an upcoming major donor fundraising campaign. Her work will help to make the campaign more effective, by targeting those individuals most likely to add their support to booksellers.
