Next in Nonprofits - The Podcast!

Podcast logoShort form blog posts have a great place in spurring conversations in growing nonprofit mission work. Longer form white papers can also help move charities forward. Next in Nonprofits is proud to announce our new podcast, to add a new way to share the latest in tools, technologies and trends in the nonprofit sector. The podcast features host Steve Boland interviewing innovators and thought leaders in the forefront of nonprofit work. Episodes run about 45 minutes, and give listerners a new way to get in-depth content on the go.

The podcast will be in directories like iTunes soon, but Episode 1 (Midway Murals) and Episode 2 (ARTshare) are available now! Listen on the web, download, or subscribe using RSS! If you have ideas for topics or guests, please contact us.

Building Relationships through Social Media

Essentials conference logo

The Minnesota Council of Nonprofits hosts a great learning opportunity for new board members and new staff in the nonprofit sector. The one-day overview features important topics such as finance, volunteer management, and of course, social media.

Next in Nonprofits will be presenting a break-out session on the importance of relationships in social conversation. Register for the full-day session on August 20, and join us for the break-out right after the keynote address.

Loads of research, in one click

NTEN logo for reportsMaking plans for communications and fundraising sometimes feels like taking a shot in the dark. Who's reading this anyway? How many people give online? A search on the web can yield some answers, but the good people at nptechforgood.org have compiled a handy list of research all in one place.

Many of these reports have been vetted for quality and to ensure the most timely information possible. Stalwart resources like Giving USA 2015 have great data to help charities understand giving patterns, and how donor habits are changing.
