Don’t lose grandma! Lightroom CC's Face Detection

Imagine if you will; before you is a table stretching 40 feet long and 10 feet wide. The table is entirely covered with shoeboxes. Each box is packed full, end to end, with 4x6” photos spanning the entirety of your time using a digital camera (and even some scanned photos).

Your phone rings. It’s your Mom. She wants a photo of your daughter taken about 3 years ago and another one from the family gathering in 2008..

X-Equals Kodachrome (Before & After)

This venerable film was discontinued after 75 years of continual service. No other color film has had this longevity and only a few black and white film stocks have similar longevity. Even in its final days, Kodachrome was still a preeminent film stock; with vivid, yet natural colors and sharpness that was hard to capture with any other color film, slide or negative.

If you don't have a copy of this one, now is your chance to snatch it up! If you already have this little gem, you're in good company!

X-Equals Super Punch (Before & After)

Hands down this the most aggressive black and white preset you can download anywhere. The key is to dial in the vignetting and tone curve to get just the right mix of attitude. Remember to use keyboard shortcut J while in the Develop Module to be sure you don't (or do) clip out your blacks and whites in your images!
