Grasping the Gospel

We are excited to embark on a six-week series called Grasping the Gospel beginning this Sunday, August 2. This series will be a great opportunity to invite a friend to come and check out Northstar for the first time. You'll be encouraged, refreshed, and renewed as you reconnect with supremely good news.

Connect Day at the Beach!
College Students! Looking for a day of fun and fellowship at the beach but don't want to drive to the coast? Come join Northstar's college ministry, Connect, this Saturday for a fun filled day at Claytor Lake. We will meet at the Northstar Ministry Center at 9 a.m. and carpool from there. Bring $4 to get in (plus $5 to park if you're driving) and money for food. We'll provide some games but feel free to bring your own as well.

Berry Picking!
Windrush Farms has made Northstar Church a gracious offer! On Sunday, August 9, they will give half of all proceeds from any Northstar related pickers to the Building Campaign Fund. Just mention Northstar!

Steppin' Out - August 7 & 8
We are looking for volunteers to hang out at the Northstar booth at Blacksburg's annual town festival on August 7-8. This is a great cahnce for us to reach out to our community and meet new friends. Look for the sign up at church this Sunday!

International Furniture Drive
The BCM is now accepting donations of furniture for the upcoming giveaway on August 15. This is a great chance to support incoming international students. Desks, bookshelves, and tables have proven to be popular items in past years.

The Women's Summer Bible Study!

Join us for our Womens' Summer Study as we wrap up our study on the Fruits of the Spirit this Tuesday, August 4 at 10 a.m. Remember that each lesson is a stand alone, so feel free to join us any time! You only need to bring your Bible. Childcare will be provided upon request.
