2015-2016 theme verse:

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.  -  Isaiah 43:19 (NIV)
Alumni from the classes of 1955 to 1964 gathered at Collins Ole Towne in Central with family members for great food and fellowship. Also, an alumni quartet tuned up and shared beloved gospel hymns at Collins Ole Towne's chapel. More than 50 attended the CWC/SWU Gathering July 25.

Walmart training at North Augusta

The North Augusta learning center recently held training for regional department managers at Walmart stores in the area, including some Georgia stores. The training took place on July 21, 22, 23, 28 and 29.
On the 23 and 29, more than a hundred Walmart employees filled the learning center’s large classroom for a big meeting before going into different classrooms for breakout sessions. According to Jason Norton, North Augusta regional director, SWU staff spoke to the Walmart group about programs SWU offers. Walmart offers tuition assistance to their associates and dependents.
Wesleyan youth from the Upstate and several southeastern states took part in Campus Challenge Aug. 1 at Newton Hobson Chapel and Fine Arts Center on the Central campus. Pictured, Silas Williams recites a scripture passage during one of the competitions. He's the son of Athletic Director Chris Williams.
Sixty-two students age 12-19 competed for scholarship money in categories that included vocal performance, keyboard, instrumental, performing arts, literature composition, art, and speech. Campus Challenge is sponsored by Wesleyan Higher Education and Education and Clergy Development to help students discover and develop their God-Given talents.
If you haven't been to Rickman Library lately, several changes are being made, such as the new seating area where the circulation desk was. This area will also have a TV hanging on the wall so that students can watch movies and hang out.
Upstairs, the library is adding five new study rooms. The library has also acquired additional furniture from the apartments to create several new seating areas. In case you're wondering about the circulation desk, circulation and reference desks were combined at the reference area on the main floor.

Congratulations!
