Exciting new theatre premiers in Dorchester this autumn:
Kinetics

What can a teenage boy who is into free running and a middle-aged woman with Parkinson’s possibly have in common? The desire to move…

We are delighted to work with Sue Wylie of Wildcard Productions in co-commissioning her new play, Kinetics. Based on a true story, this much-anticipated theatre piece makes a potentially dark and difficult subject uplifting, thought-provoking and inspiring.

Lukas is 16 and very bright. School doesn’t hold his attention and his parents are back in Switzerland. His outlet is Parkour; the art of free running. The exhilaration is his release.

Rose is a middle-aged woman who has early onset Parkinson’s. As she struggles to come to terms with her world of movement being slowly eroded an unlikely friendship develops when one evening Lukas literally lands on her doorstep…

Join us this autumn at Dorchester Corn Exchange for the premier of this challenging and unique theatre production.

Saturday 5 September, 8pm (doors & bar 7:30pm)
Dorchester Corn Exchange, DT1 1HF

Tickets: £9 / £7 members & concessions

‘What a brilliant play! It really is a tremendous piece of work, very passionate, very funny and very real.’  Tim Laycock, musician, actor, storyteller.

‘Watching your play was a very emotional experience for me, as much of what you are saying is how my journey has been. For me the play is a wonderful vehicle to give the public a real insight to living with Parkinson’s.’
