As of May 1st, 2015, the publishing house Ernst & Sohn has sold the Structurae database and website back to me, the former owner and creator.  Three years ago Ernst & Sohn had acquired the site which documents construction projects from around the world for civil engineers. It has been an important online platform profiling the work of bridge, civil and structural engineers to an international audience.
 
Ernst & Sohn has changed its company strategy for online activities and wishes to concentrate on digital offerings based on its journals, books and yearbooks. Therefore the publishing house decided to sell the Structurae database.
 
I have been developping the website and database while it and myself were a part of Ernst & Sohn as chief editor. By retaking ownership I will continue to do so on my own and with full responsibility again.
