Midsummer Dreams......
It is so hard to believe that it is already August! This summer has been flying by, along with a little chance to recap this year so far.....
For the last year (!) I have had one exhibition after another which has been very exciting for me - including some solo shows in libraries, banks, etc. After August, the remaining paintings will come home to the studio to roost and I will update my website to let you all know what work is still available. I have been concentrating on bigger work for all of these shows and it has been a wonderful experience. I plan to continue to do a mix of work - larger pieces for exhibitions and the smaller works that I sell online and at local shops. If you see a painting on my blog or website or DailyPaintworks gallery that you are interested in, please email me!
Also this Fall, I will be opening a new Etsy shop just for my limited edition prints and boxed notecards as well as my very popular desktop and pocket calendars. Stay tuned for that exciting opening!
And - if I didn't have enough shows going on - this year I also became involved with a group of artists to start a new local art market. The Haverhill Art Market is a juried Art Market held once a month on select Saturdays at 90 Washington Street in the heart of downtown Haverhill, Massachusetts. It has been a great experience working with all kinds of local artists and we are very excited about the future of the Art Market in Haverhill. You can check out our facebook page here.
The next exhibition that I will be participating in is a fun one - the "8 Cubed" exhibition at the Newburyport Art Association. Member artists will be creating their art all on approximately 200 identical 8 x 8-inch canvases. All the pieces are displayed together at the Art Association for a fun smorgasbord of small (and reasonably priced!) art. This is always a great show - be sure to check it out from August 7-22 with a public reception on August 8 from 7 to 9pm in Newburyport, Massachusetts.
Please see the column on the right for more upcoming events.....and thank you for following my work!
