On an almost daily basis I hear this concern or see it in one of the many online forums I’m involved in, “My clients told me they loved the event but I’m not sure how to show them it was a success.” The main challenge with measuring your event ROI is documenting comments and feedback from event attendees and not just focusing on money. Measuring your overall contribution to the event and giving a bigger picture overview is what sets you a part as an event manager. It’s important to look at all aspects of your event to measure its ROI and to remember that you’re measuring event ROI to improve your events, show your value to your clients and to help you make decisions. By setting up a processes for every event you plan, you’re more likely to measure your event’s success and have a plan to show your clients how their event was a success.
