HIGHFIELDS & DISTRICT BUSINESS CONNECTIONS

BREAKFAST MEETING -  TUESDAY 4TH AUGUST 2015

TOPIC: THE CHALLENGES OF CHANGING YOUR BUSINESS

JOIN US AT THE HIGHFIELDS CULTURAL CENTRE
6:30AM FOR 6:45AM START

In late 2014, Darrin and Kylie Pateman opened Homegrown Health cafe in Railway St, after 10 years of running a home delivery organic produce business from their farm in Cabarlah. They are now at the forefront of the rapidily growing organic cafe and local produce market and are positioned to grow their business rapidly when other businesses are shrinking.

Kylie will discuss how they moved their business from an organic market garden business into the cut-throat world of the 7-day-a-week cafe trade. Come to hear about the challenges of drastically changing your business model and what the process was for Homegrown Health.

We will also have Mike Gerlach from Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland give us a brief explanation of the ecoBiz program being run by CCIQ. This free program has saved thousands for small businesses and schools over the last few years.
