July 2015
Hello BDI Buzz Readers...
... and warm greetings from the Business Diversity Institute.
Have you ever heard of Ted Talks? Well, stay tuned for MED Talks. This year during MED Week, the BDI planning team will host its first ever MED Talks with a focus on small business. This will be just one of our fun and engaging MED Week activities to celebrate our local small businesses owners.
As MED Week is nearing we ask that you take a moment to nominate a small business, agency or Diversity Practitioners who has made an impactful difference in leveling the playing for minority owned firms. The nomination form and MED Week schedule at-a-glance is available on the BDI website.
We would like to thank our early sponsors for this year’s conference:
Port of Portland, Multnomah County, City of Portland, Oregon Department of Transportation, Parsons Brinckerhoff, Howard S. Wright, Skanska, Emerick Construction, Fortis Construction, and NW Natural Gas.
Cheers!
Kimberly Mitchell-Phillips,
Business Diversity Institute, Chair
