FREE OUTDOOR PRODUCTION OF 'A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM' IN BALBOA PARK

Fruitless Moon Productions and the Balboa Park Garden Theatre Festival 2015 present this free performance in Balboa Park's Zoro Gardens. Directed by Aimee Greenberg, host of our long-running Encinitas Library open reading!

Bonus...on Saturday August 15th and August 16th, the Garden Theatre Festival 2015 presents Scenes from Shakespeare at 2.00pm. The Garden Theatre Festival is produced by Christophver R, a regular director and attendee at our Upstart Crow open readings.

SEE 'THE WINTER'S TALE' BY THE INTREPID THEATRE COMPANY IN CARLSBAD

Part of Intrepid's 'Shakespeare Unplugged' series at the Carlsbad Village Theater. Ends this Sunday August 2nd.  Tuesday and Wednesday 7:30pm. Saturday 2pm, Sunday 7pm.

'THINKING SHAKESPEARE LIVE!' ENCORE PRESENTATION AT THE OLD GLOBE

Old Globe Artistic Director Barry Edelstein will offer an encore presentation of his program 'Thinking Shakespeare Live!', a 90-minute exploration of the language of Shakespeare, on Saturday, August 8th at 11:00 a.m.

THE OLD GLOBE ANNUAL 'SUMMER SHAKESPEARE INTENSIVE FOR TEENS' PERFORMANCE

The Old Globe's eighth annual Summer Shakespeare Intensive for teens will conclude on Monday, August 10 at 7pm. with performances of abridged versions of Love's Labor's Lost and The Tempest.  Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage at The Old Globe. Tickets are $13 for adults and $9 for students.

The four-week program began on July 13 and is a unique opportunity for local high school actors and actresses to refine their skills as performers in a professional setting.

Congrats to Sam Bennett who will be playing the lead male role of the King Of Navarre in the Love's Labor's Lost section of the performance!! Way to go Sam (and family)! The Bennett family organized some open Shakespeare readings with us last year in Ramona.

 

'THE COMEDY OF ERRORS' OPENS AT THE OLD GLOBE  AUGUST 16TH

See it on Tuesday, August 18th with the San Diego Shakespeare Society Group Discount. Show time 8pm with optional free reception at 6pm and pre-show talk at 6.30pm.
