US Weta Nationals 2015!
Come and race on the waters where the first Weta’s were sailed in the US. The 2015 Weta Nationals will be held at Nor’Banks Sailing in Duck, Sept 23-26. Weta Fest Champion Mike Krantz will be there to try and keep his winning streak alive. We should have all of the top finishers from WetaFest attending to make this one competitive event. There will be awesome food, festivities and sailing and there is little to no excuse for Weta owners not to attend. Thanks to all the participating dealers, we should have a good number of charter boats available for Weta owners where the drive is a bit too far. Mike Wright from Seattle is already in. Here is a link to the NOR and registration. Please contact Jon Britt directly if you have any questions. SailNC will be co-sponsoring the event and will make the event both professionally run and fun.

Weta West Coast Championships: Full Blast at the Wind Machine Gorge
This year we used the 2015 Gorge Dinghy Invite to host our Weta West Coast Championships on July 24-26, making it a fair distance for our Seattle contingent since it is usually held in the Bay Area or last year, in Santa Barbara. While this made it difficult for the bulk of our fleet to make the 12-20 hour trek northward, those that made the haul were rewarded with everything the Gorge had to offer.

Camaraderie and Capsizing at the Columbia River Gorge, USA
Sailors flock by the thousands to one of the best summer destinations in the United States. You haven’t sailed until you’ve been on the water at the Columbia River Gorge located in the Pacific Northwest. Atmospheric pressure changes in the Cascades create 25-35 mph winds that provide a lot of excitement. As an added bonus, shore side spectators get a front row seat to all the action.

The Blue Bug on the Bay, SG
Thanks to Dom' and the BS Marketing Weta for the cool image from the weekends sail on Loyang Bay. Nice SW Monsoon and flat water! Dom' inspired the current Blue Revolution in boats at CSC and the Gulf Nacra has followed suit! There's another cat being primed for livery and we're looking for a cool 70's F1 paint scheme for it... Any ideas out there?!

1000 Hours clocked on the Weta Trimaran! USA
If my records are anywhere near accurate, and I’m certain they’re at least very close, as of this afternoon I passed the 1000 hour mark on the Weta. For such a lightly built boat it’s held up very well.

Weta Camp: Not Just for Kids! USA

Eight Weta sailors took full advantage at the 3rd Annual Weta Camp hosted by Jared Brockway of Pierpont Performance Sailing. First Weta National Championships at Weston Sailing Club a huge success! UK
In the shadows of the world's great ocean going liners a gathering took place in Southampton water on 6/7th June of somewhat smaller vessels. The U.K.'s Weta National Championships came to the south coast of England and was hosted by the Weston Sailing Club. Enthusiastic participants began arriving during the afternoon of Friday 6th June to rig and prepare their boats for the battle whilst setting up their camp site adjacent to the club itself. Home comforts do take centre stage!

There's Nothing Like the First Time, USA
There is something very special about your first time; the anticipation, excitement, nervousness. May in the Triad provided just that, an opportunity for children to get their first sailing experience. Oak Hollow Sailing Club, located on a little inland lake in High Point NC hosted over 75 people who joined members for a day of fun, socialization and time out on the water for “Learn to Sail” day.

David Vockler the States best...again, AUS
BUNDABERG'S David Vockler was up against stiff opposition before he lowered his boat, Attitude, into the water to contest the Queensland WETA title. David was taking on something that never slowed down or gave up - time. A few weeks before the state championships were held at Hervey Bay he took delivery of his new boat and after racing her three times came away with his 11th Queensland title.

Weta a hit at Clearwater Sailing Center, USA
After sailing a weta for a few hours. I have to say it quickly become one of my top 5 small sailboats of all time. Our Clearwater Sailing Center (Florida) received one on donation and fix her back up. Now it's always booked up every weekend. I had my 4 year old son out in it and he had a blast. Next weekend going to take my 5, and 6 year daughters out and let them sail. They know there way around Opti and Hobbies already so I'm sure this will be a blast for them.
